MISS MAKENZIE
OWNER / DIRECTOR
Makenzie started dancing at the age of 3 until she was 18 years old. She grew up in Kansas City and spent the majority of her time training and dancing competitively under the direction of Phil Vitug, studio owner and Dance Out Competition owner. Makenzie trained in ballet, jazz, Ivrical, hip hop and tap..
In 2018 Makenzie started Platinum Dance Company in Marysville, KS with the first classes in Summer 2018. That summer,
Makenzie also got certified in Acrobatic Arts curriculum so that she could bring quality and proper acrobatic classes to PDC.
Makenzie started Platinum Dance Company's first season of classes in August 2018 offering classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and acro.
Since then, Makenzie has grown Platinum Dance Company into a 2nd location that features 2 dance rooms, 5 faculty members, serving students from Marysville, Seneca, Falls City, Frankfort, Waterville, Palmer, Washington, and Beatrice..
MISS SHEELA
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Sheela has been dancing since 3 years old! She has a huge love for kids and dancing, and an even bigger love for sharing her passion of dance with the students!
Sheela has been helping us backstage at our Showcases since the first Showcase in December 2018. Assisting since 2019 and started teaching her own classes in 2021. Sheela has learned so much from each season and continues to grOw!
Sheela loves spending time with her family outside of the dance studio. She was blessed with 3 little girls that she hopes one day will fall in love with dance just like she did.
MISS SOPHIE
INSTRUCTOR
Sophie is our Levels 1 & 2 Hip Hop Instructor. Sophie is a Sophomore at Marysville High School, plays golf, manages the wrestling team and dances at PDC herself.
Sophie brings a fun and vibrant atmosphere to her hip hop classes. Dancers enjoy learning beginner level hip hop combos and techniques from her and she has grown to be a huge role model for her students.
MISS BROOKLYNN
INSTRUCTOR
Brooklynn is a Sophomore at Marysville High School. Brooklynn was a gymnast for 10+ years at Manhattan Gymnastics Academy. She was a level 7 gymnast and competed in multiple gymnastics meets throughout her training.
Brooklynn currently assists in all AcroDance classes and offers tumbling privates at PDC.
